Our projects are rooted in community and create real impact in health, environment, and quality of life.
At The Raíces Collaborative, we work hand-in-hand with communities to build a more just, healthy, and sustainable future.
Our projects center environmental justice, cultural resilience, and community empowerment across Texas and beyond.
The Raices Collab manages the Texas CCS Community Advocacy Coalition, The Texas CCS Community Advocacy Coalition is a group of concerned citizens, organizations, and environmental advocates focused on raising awareness about the potential impacts of carbon capture and storage (CCS) in Texas.
The coalition advocates for transparency, public safety, and environmental protection, urging that any CCS projects be carefully monitored and regulated to protect communities and natural resources.

Workshops Across Texas (July 2025):
The Raíces Collab Project partnered with Channelview Middle School to launch a pilot native plant initiative in Channelview, TX. Working closely with educators, six middle school students and their families were selected to receive native garden installations completely free of charge.
This initiative does more than introduce sustainable landscaping; it fosters environmental education, cultural pride, and community connection. By planting native gardens in schools, public parks, and residential yards, we are creating spaces where science, art, and heritage meet.
